September Favourites: Skin Care

September Favourites: Skin Care

When packing for my recent city break in Berlin, I was in a bit of a panic as I didn’t have any suitably sized moisturisers or skin care to take with me.

See, me being me, I love skincare products probably more so than shoes, and although I can give up wearing fancy heels whilst on vacay, I will not sacrifice my skincare.

Anyway, as I’m in my little panic, I found at the back of the bathroom cabinet a jar of moisturiser I had used once, but never again. Not remembering why I never used it, and deciding to take a chance, I threw the 50ml tub into my luggage and proceeded to cross my fingers that all would be ok.

And you know what?

All was ok.

In fact, it was more than ok, it was amazing.

I haven’t a clue why I never used the product more than once, but it’s now firmly on my list of products which I’ll be using on the regular.

Anyhoo, inspired by this “find” of mine and the necessity to share it with you (because who doesn’t want nice skin?), and rather than doing single posts relating to a singly product, I’m going to start doing a monthly round-up of skin and hair care products I’ve discovered throughout the month, because sharing is caring.

September skin care favourites

Nip+fab Bee Sting Fix Cream Deluxe 50ml

This is it guys, the cream I was talking about above. I used it every day whilst on holiday, without any other essence, oil, toner, etc, and despite being stupidly tired when I got home – my skin looked incredible. No breakouts, no dryness. I was even able to wear my foundation directly on top of this (I forgot my primer) without any issues – the foundation stayed in place all day, didn’t cake or ball, and didn’t irritate my skin. It is a little dense, but absorbs quickly, and I honestly don’t know why I hid this one away, because considering how plump, soft, smooth, and gorgeous it made my skin it’s now a mainstay on my face.

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Extreme Pads

Another Nip+Fab product I love. If you aren’t using these – you should be. I bought them on a whim, because I love me some facial acids, and literally within an hour of the first use I noticed a massive change in my skin. It looked firmer and smoother. Although it says to use 2-3 times a week, I use this every night without any adverse reactions. In fact, since I started using these I’ve also noticed a huge improvement on dietary breakouts (i.e. breakouts from gluten and dairy), so that’s always nice.

Radha Beauty Miracle Retinol Moisturiser

I have been using this product every night for a couple of months now and it has made an incredible difference on my skin. Sure, I still have a few fine lines here and there, but given my age that is perfectly normal, however since using this moisturisor these have plumped up considerably. I did my usual “one week without” test, to see if it really did make a difference, and within a day or so of not using it I noticed my skin wasn’t quite as plump as it had been whilst using it.

So that’s it guys, three products I’m loving this month. Do you have any skincare recommendations or products you swear by? Let me know!
